What We Do

Chambers of Commerce have been serving business communities for hundreds of years. And, although they may share a common name, each Chamber is unique and is organized and structured to meet the needs of its community.

The Fremont Chamber of Commerce operates effectively through the work of the Board of Directors, Committees and the Chamber Staff.

The Board of Directors is a body of elected Chamber members whose responsibilities includes defining the chamber’s purpose, determining policy, goals and objectives.  Annually, the Board of Directors sets the Program of Work necessary to move the Chamber Mission forward and achieve the designated goals. The Board of Directors also sets the operating budget and had ultimate responsibility for the chamber's fiduciary health.

Chamber Committees are focused on a specific area of interest and are responsible for conducting the work as outlined in the Program of Work. Committees are made up of Chamber members who volunteer their time and expertise.  Committees are frequently chaired by Board members.

The Chamber Staff is made up of paid professionals who are responsible for the day to day operations of the chamber.  The staff works closely with all volunteer groups to support the work and efforts of the Board and Committees.

These three groups work diligently to translate the Program of Work into valued and tangible benefits for Chamber membership.
