The Fremont Chamber of Commerce monitors and regularly takes positions on local, regional, state and federal policy initiatives, regulations, legislation, and ballot measures on behalf of our membership and in accordance with our Chamber Mission & Priorities. The Fremont Chamber of Commerce convenes an appointed Government Affairs Committee on a monthly basis to review and assess pending legislation and issues impacting the business community. Our positions are sought out by government agencies and elected officials alike.
As a Chamber, we strive to help members understand and navigate the ever-changing government landscape and its effect upon the business community. Chamber members are notified regularly of bills and policies under consideration by legislators that may have an impact on business. Events held throughout the year provide opportunities for members to hear from elected officials and key industry leaders discussing issues of critical importance to the business community
Industry Councils
The Fremont Chamber of Commerce will be announcing the start of industry councils in the fall of 2023. These working groups of industry representatives and professionals will providing expert guidance to the Government Affairs Committee and Chamber Board of Directors.
Business for Good Government
Business for Good Government (BGG) is an affiliated political action committee of the Fremont Chamber of Commerce, authorized by the State of California and the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) to raise funds; and endorse candidates, initiatives and ballot measures.
